South African Music Educators’ Society course for primary school teachers »
Teaching courses in music literacy and notation, recorder and choir conducting were given in collaboration with the university of the Witwatersrand and the Johannesburg College of Education in July 1994 and March 1995. 175 Teachers from Soweto and Johannesburg attended. Recorders and music manuscripts were given to the teachers to use in classrooms in their own communities. Approximately 15 000 primary school children were reached through this project which continued at Orange Farm in 1997.
